Whisker & Wing Publishing is an independent press built around one simple idea: stories can change how we see ourselves. Stephanie Johnston founded it after realizing the book she needed—one that said not wanting kids is okay—didn’t exist. Rather than wait for someone else to write it, she wrote it herself and created Whisker & Wing as a home for stories that comfort, connect, and challenge the status quo.

The press takes its name from the creatures that bring Stephanie joy and perspective every day: her cats, Squeaker and Bubbles, and the birds that flock to her backyard feeders. Whisker & Wing is small, but it is rooted in big values: honesty, humor, and heart.
